My early years!

I was born in Erie, Pa. on November 6th, 1954 at 11:40pm. The youngest of 5 children, we were raised alone, by a single Mom that worked two jobs to support us and keep us off of welfare. My sibling's Larry, Judy, Joyce and Lee, being at least 8 years older and above, made it like I was an only child at times. They also took care of me while my Mom worked. By the time I was 14, they had all moved out, started having families of their own.

Me at 16

I was almost 16 when I ran away from home and went to visit my Father in Seattle, Wash. Whom I had only met a couple of times. My Mom had started, when it was too late to discipline me and I rebelled of course. But like any teenager I had hopes and dreams that I felt if I didn't do something right away I would never achieve them. I wasn't very good in School due to a few learning disabilities. Back then they didn't know what or how to help young kids like me, with them, so I sorta fell through the cracks of the educational system. When I finally came back home after a few months, I quit school and got my first job.

It was shortly after that I moved out and got an Apartment of my own.(I was only 17) My job, was as a waitress, then on top of that I also got 2 more, working a total of 3 or 4 jobs at once, as a cook and dancer in a night club. I had been sexually abused as a child, so I didn't have any self respect or esteem. I was always running with the wrong kinds of people and most of the time felt very out of place, like I didn't belong. I ended up with a motorcycle Gang and one day as I was helping out a young girl that was staying with me, I met these people from a Christian Group, that literally helped me to turn my life around just by asking the simple question.."Why do you love God?"

Shortly after I met my soon to be husband through this group, that was August 28th of 1974. Exactly three years later to the day, we were married and a short 2 months later My daughter Kymberly was born.
